Chance's 1st Birthday Video

Today, my nephew, Chance celebrated his first birthday. Chance has such a cute little personality...and I know he will give us ALL run for our money one day.

Here's the video I put together for him.

Birthday Celebration!

Richard's birthday was Thursday and Elise's was Friday. So, as usual, the celebrations were combined.

My mom accompanied Eric and I on the drive to Kamas and we had such an enjoyable time with the kiddies we love so much! We got home a little too late (1:30 a.m.) but it's always fun to chat and take pictures and hang out together. Here are some of the pictures I took.

Andrew and Marcus enjoy jumping on the trampoline:

Marcus takes a moment:

I just thought this picture was funny. The cat is all out of focus because he moved right as the picture was being taken. I'm super allergic to cats, so this was almost too close for comfort.

Elise blowing out her candles. I intentionally left the flash off, so the pictures are a little dark.

More time on the trampoline.

Elise's Birthday Video

My niece, Elise, turns seven years old today. She has brought so much joy and fun into my life. I thought it would be fun to compile some of her pictures and make a little video. She saw it last night and loved it.

I took most of the pictures, but several came from Sandy and Richard.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ELISE!!

Vital Smart Conference

August 11 & 12: Several of the trainers in my department attended a Vital Smarts conference. The authors wrote the books: Crucial Conversations, Crucial Confrontations and The Influencer.

I'm not a trainer for any of those topics, but it was interesting to learn a few new techniques in presenting videos and telling stories (cuz we know I love to do that).

The conference was held at the Grand America Hotel. I'd only been there once, during the Paralympics in 2002 but I'd only been in the lobby.

I was fascinated by the gardens and the chandeliers. We took a tour of the rooms and they were incredible!

Of course, my handy dandy camera is almost always in with me, so I took some pictures.

Strawberry Reservoir Tour

On Sunday, August 9, my dad and I took a drive to Strawberry Reservoir to take pictures.

It was hot and I kind of wished we'd waited for late September or October to take that drive, because it will be gorgeous when the leaves change...maybe we'll do it again around that time.

Here are my favorite pictures:
