Happy Birthday, Andrew!

Today is my nephew Andrew's fifth birthday. Eric and I had just started dating seriously when Andrew was born. We love our Andrew! Here's the video I put together for him.

An Autumn Walk In The Woods

The leaves in the mountains are changing so quickly and I love to enjoy them while I can. Eric and I drove up to Richard and Cynthia's house on Sunday and then we all drove to the canyon for some pictures.

It was such a beautiful fall day! The lighting was awesome and we had such a nice time walking and talking and enjoying the sites. Here are my favorite shots of that day:

Marcus takes the lead down the path:
I love that the kids love Eric. They adore him. I just loved this shot.
I wish this had been more in focus but it's hard to get the shot when he is running. Still, I like it.
Marcus enjoys a little one on one time with his mom.
Marcus and Elise:

The rest of these are just shots of the leaves changing colors. Love it!

Chance Turns ONE!

Eric and I adore our sweet nephew Chance. We love his emerging personality and, really, I can't wait to hear his first words. Like other babies, he has so much to say but the words don't form right on his lips.

I forgot to post pictures of him when he was bit by a dog - we all went to PCMC ER with him. Here are a few of the pictures from that night in late August:
Chance took everything better than many adults would have. He's such a little champion!

Chance has recovered nicely and we had a wonderful celebration for his first birthday.
I have to include the picture of the toy that Eric and I got him. We liked that there was an off/on button for the music and noises.
He wasn't so sure what to think about the cake. It's sticky and the texture is different...
. . . but he got the hang of it real quick! He messed up that cake and got it all over himself.
And, of course, he's at the age where he's wanting the share in his discovery...so he offered some up to his grandpa John.
The evening ended with the cousins taking turns at busting up the pinata...but it wasn't until Evan gave it a shot, that the pinata gave up the treats from the inside. This was such a lucky shot!
We love our Chance. Happy Birthday, kiddo!
