Halloween is one of my favorite holidays! I love dressing up, decorating, giving out candy...love it all.
I dressed up as a "spider queen" or something to that affect. I picked up a spider web cape and sewed about 30 spiders to the back of it (some hanging down)...it was actually pretty creepy! I put more of the spiders into my hair and glued a couple to my face using eyelash glue.
We handed out candy at work and then at home. Eric wore a jester costume with a creepy mask. Amazingly, the younger the kids were that came to the door, the more courageous they were with him; although, none wanted to see him move. LOL! It was really fun.
We had about 85-100 trick-or-treaters thanks to the great weather.
Here are the work pics:

Elise and Andrew Dance Recital
Eric and I went to Kamas to see Elise and Andrew dance in their recital. Due to a mix up from the dance teacher, Andrew didn't dance...too bad because he really enjoys it. We'll be sure to be there for the Christmas recital.
Here are my favorite pics from the night:
I love that there are three different facial expressions on these girls:

Saying Goodbye
My sweet, awesome, amazing and ambitious sister, April is moving to Spain today and I am so incredibly proud of her!!! She's going to complete some schooling.
She went to Spain on vacation and has wanted to go back...and here she goes. I am so excited for her journey and sad that we won't, at least, have the option to visit her in LA. (although, now we need to get to Spain, right?)
I talked to her on the phone while she was at the airport and I had to swallow my tears as I expressed my love and pride for her.
I love you, April!!!

Leo the Lion Visits my Work
Several coworkers of mine are season ticket holders to Real Salt Lake. This week they had a promotion on Facebook where they would come visit fans in their work place. My coworkers went in each day and encouraged a visit from the mascot, Leo, to our office.
I was listening to music on the headphones while I worked when I heard my manager say, "Tina, grab your camera." I wasn't sure why I was grabbing it our of the bag, but as I came around the cubie, camera in hand, I ran into Leo. I wasn't expecting it and my heart jumped. :)
They brought several cases of Pepsi products for us to enjoy and then went around visiting with the trainers and our classes as we took pictures. It turned a mundain, lame afternoon into a fun eventful one.
One of the promoters who was there taking pictures said to me, "I noticed they didn't say "do you have your camera? but asked you to bring it." I told him it's practically attached to my hip, as is the case.

Photoshoot: Richard's Kids
Saturday (Oct 15), after Collin's football game, we went to the canyon and took pictures of the kiddies. It was such a beautiful day! The weather and colors were absolutely perfect for pictures and general enjoyment of the lovely time of year. Here are my faves:
Collin:
Elise:
Andrew:
Marcus:
A few others that I liked, of the changing leaves:
To end it all, I told the kids I would zombify their pictures for Halloween. Here's the result (I used Picnik to zombify the pictures):

Collin's Football Game
As I mentioned previously, Saturday, Eric and I went to Collin's football game. It was fun to watch him play as he learns the game.
I love football! I mostly don't care who is playing as long as it's a good game. Of course we like the NE Patriots - as the NFL goes, anyway. College: Eric and I are split. I love the Utes he loves the Cougars. (Go Utes!)
Collin's team did not win the game and it was sad to watch the little fallen faces as they slunk off the field. I reminded Collin that he's still learning the game and that all the great players started exactly where he is now.
Collin has such a tender heart and always has. He's not a bully or a hitter, so it's a tough change for him to get out there and stand his ground and even hit to a tackle.
Go Wildcats!

Saturday Update: Weight and Autumn
Today, it's been about a month since we ended our Biggest Loser contest. I got on the scale with a little bit of trepidation - not sure how I've been doing (eek). To my joy and excitement, I've lost an additional 8 pounds!!! Yeah!!!
I should have guessed because I've been pinning my skirts closed for work.....to the point that it might be bordering on sloppy looking. :) It's hard to want to go shopping because I don't want to spend money on clothes that are meant to be temporary as I presumably continue to lose weight.
I've been fortunate to have coworkers and friends give me their clothes as they, too, have been losing weight.
Now I really need to REfocus on what I want and why (which will come in a later post).
