Friday Night Videos

So this is happening this weekend! I cannot wait to sing with my favorites ever! I love U2 and am super excited to see them again.
U2 Joshua Tree Tour 2017

I'm hoping there are some songs from Achtung and Zooropa.

Another vid to add this week. It makes me laugh:

I found this one inspiring and emotional...Our culture values genealogy and even with crazy and unhappy times of the past, this brings it all home.

Friday Night Videos

Posting the video on a Saturday morning again. I should call this feature Saturday Morning Cartoons. LOL! Of course, there aren't many cartoons, so it wouldn't make sense.

I'm still so many months behind on the videos, so I'm deciding which I want to share.

I haven't seen this movie, but I think it might be worth the viewing; it looks like it has a lot of potential to be good based on the trailer, anyway: The Way, Way Back:

I hate all the "Let it Go" versions that exist...I don't get the complete head-over-heels love for that song, but the love is no different than any of the Little Mermaid songs.  THE difference is YOUTUBE! LOL! In any case, I thought this was one of my favorite versions of the song being remade:

My favorite video of 2013 was this one, made by devinsupertramp. He's the guy that made the video of the people swinging on the arches, here in the Utah (not a fan of that, by the way). But I really liked this video:

The final video I'll share is one I shared on FB at the end of the 2013, but I still really like, is a mashup of all the hits from 2013:

Friday Night Videos

I know, it's Saturday morning and it's been forever since I posted my Friday Night Videos, but it's well past due, so here are the videos for this week.

The first one is in honor of the World Cup (watch it full screen in HD).

Easily, the most popular Uruguayan player is Luis Suarez. Here's a commercial from last year. What life would be like if he lived a non-fubol life and worked in an office:

I have one final video, not because I don't have a ton stored up from the last year, but because this one is a bit long. It's from my favorite photographer: SebastiĆ£o Salgado, when he presented at TED.
(It's a little tough to understand him, and whoever interpreted the captions for the video do an okay job)

Friday Night Videos

Okay, so I'm posting this on Saturday night, but I meant to post it last night.

I am a big Star Trek fan and loved the new movie. I was lucky to not have heard any of the spoilers prior to seeing the movie, so I was surprised when certain things were revealed. That said, I found this Audi commercial entertaining...I love Leonard Nimoy...so funny!:

I love this lip sync-off between John Krasinski and Jimmy Fallon:

Because I have huskies this one made me laugh. Mine talk to me all the time, too:

With the Pride festival/parade coming up, I thought I would post this video:

Friday Night Videos

I couldn't get any of the videos to embed this week (no matter what tricks I employed, so I have entered the links). I suggest, Right-clicking, and opening in a new window.
I saw this video a few weeks ago and shared it on FB this week but just love it! This little boy has a very interesting story, which is worth watching in one of the other videos posted on YouTube but here's a cute little motivational video:Kid President Pep Talk

Another video I found to be hilarious was this one about the world we live in as we move to a so called 'paperless' world: http://vimeo.com/61275290

Even though my feelings toward my old faith/religion have not chaned, I was touched by the sentiments displayed in this video: Mountains to Climb.

This video was so cute about a dachshund puppy and a crab facing off on the beach. There's a moment when the crab seems to stop and look at the camera guy like, "what the deuce?" (1:27)

This Jimmy Fallon video made me laugh...I loved that the first lady participated; and that she got into the dance moves so completely (especially at the end).

And because it's St Patrick's Day, and I like flash mob videos, and I like Riverdance, I'm throwing this one in: Riverdance Flashmob (Central Station, Sydney, Australia) even though you can tell who the dancers are going to be, I like it.

Friday Night Videos

I know it's been forever since I posted anything....between the back pain, another back injection, being flat on my back for another week in January...a very bad cold that lasted FOREVER in January (and still clings to my lungs into February), and busy days at work...I haven't had a lot of time to think about any blog posts ... but I really do mean to catch up at some point :)

In the mean time, I thought this video was too cute; these leopards trying to make sense of a mirror in the middle of the jungle:

April posted this onto Facebook and I loved it...We used to watch Bob Ross on Sundays when we wanted to take a nap ... he seemed to help put us into a little trance and put us to sleep. It was fun to see a little friend tree or friend cloud. PBS put together this little song out of his videos:

And because I find this video so inspiring (and because I've been losing weight and continue to work on losing weight) and have to share this one again:

:)

Friday Night Videos

I saw this commercial the other day and loved it! Something about the music and images are so inspiring:

The 2nd video to share is the 50 Best Viral videos of 2012 (some of which I missed, apparently):

If you are caught in the snow with us in SLC, have fun, be safe, stay warm.

Friday Night Videos

I shared this on Facebook (copying it from Sandy's board). I thought it was wonderful!

Yup! One single video...after all this time...it's the single video. I think after all the horrible-ness of today's news...the tragedy, this kind of uplifting video is what I really wanted to share.

Friday Night Videos

So, I kinda got sucked into the Olympics and didn't do much blogging (or much else) for two weeks.  Well, that's not entirely true. Eric and I went to LA for a long weekend and didn't want to come home....which has made it really hard to get back to life at home. (ho-hum)

Here are a few very random videos:

I love this video from my sisters.  It's one of those that I watch when I'm having a rough day:

This one is a very strange video: A-Z of Epidemiology:

I thought this Discovery Channel commerical was fun:

A quick Nike video: Find Your Greatness:

Last, I just LOVED this Paranorman trailer:

Friday Night Videos

I love watching the Olympics. I've blogged about it before and I can't get enough of it. The find the stories so inspiring and emotional. I love watching people triumph in their sport and fight so hard for their dreams. I thought I would post some past moments:

1976 in Montreal: Nadia Comaneci:

Another one of Nadia Comaneci:

1984 Los Angeles: Mary Lou Retton who HAD to get a perfect score in order to win gold; and she did it TWICE in a row:

1984 Los Angeles: Greg Louganis - one of the most graceful and amazing divers ever:

1996 Atlanta: Kerri Strug - one of the most emotional and exciting moments in womens gymnastics:

This about sums that 1996 moment up:

2008 Beijing: Men's 4X100m Freestyle Relay - A truly thrilling moment while watching! We were on our feet screaming at the TV and cheering at the top of our lungs! Great great moment!!

the actual race begins around the 14 second mark:

Or click here for a less than stellar video. I can't find an actual clip of the great moment.

What moments will we have in the next two weeks!? So exciting to watch!

Friday Night Videos

Okay, it's Saturday, and I've gone a few weeks without posting videos....but here are the ones I've found:

A clip I love from West Wing:

Dewitt Jones is a photographer for National Geographic...Here's a segment from his video: Celebrating What's Right in the World:

Part 2:

A very sweet and emotional video of two little girls and their battle together:

Friday Night Videos

We watched The Avengers this morning and I loved it.  I want to call our dogs "The Avengers" but Eric doesn't like that idea so much. It makes me smile. As a compromise, I now say to them, "Puppas, assemble!"  LOL!

Here are this weeks video selections.

Another summer movie I'm looking forward to is G.I. Joe...and it helps that The Rock is in it.

The City of Samba.......I seem to be drawn to these type of time lapse videos:

Mr Happy Man, as described on Vimeo: Come rain or shine, 88-year-old Bermudian Johnny Barnes devotes six hours every day to an endearing traffic ritual that has made him one of the island’s most cherished citizens.

Another inspiring video...and add, but I liked it. Voices from the Field:

As I mentioned last week, I really want to get a star trails photo, but how about a video of this magnitude!? Truly incredible! And the music with the clips......well, it's inspiring! What a world we live in!

Friday Night Videos

It was the last week of class this week and as usual, it was busy! I finished and presented my final photography project and was very pleased with how it turned out. I will post those photos after I receive the grade.

Tomorrow we are walking the MS walk here in Salt Lake. My family has been fortunate in avoiding this illness, but it has a high incidence in here in Utah. I have many friends who have immediate family members with this diagnosis. It is an emotional walk, especially when crossing the finish line.  Here is a video highlighting the necessity of finding a cure.

If you could speak to, and be heard by, one million people, what would you say?

One photo I've longed to take, is a star trails photo. But what if you couldn't see the stars any more? I think I shall see this movie when it's released:

In my journey to better health, I ran across this video, which is a trailer for a movie which discusses how advertising and our approach to food has changed from nutrition to popular ad campaigns.

Testing out the "new" blogger look....we'll see how that goes.

Here's video #1: a blind kitten learning to play for the first time...so cute!:

Video #2: - I enjoy the motivating videos as I find them...Maybe It's My Fault:

Video #3: Another great TED video:

Video #4: Wish I could do this with any and all pedofiles:

Friday Night Videos

After a very long and busy week, I came home on Friday night and collapsed into my bed. So, here are the videos I found to use for my videos:

Just because I've not been getting my zombie fix the last few weeks, and won't for several more, doesn't mean I can't enjoy it,right?

This reminds us all of my brother...and I love it!! (not to mention the song):

My sister took Flat Stanley for a little journey through Spain and Scotland:

Speaking of April, you should follow her on Youtube as she records her own journey in Spain...here's just one of her recent videos:

Weirdest thing EVER!! This (evil) cat barks like a dog, gets caught and suddently begins to Meow:

Friday Night Videos

April makes one comment on Facebook about boxer puppies and I'm hooked!

Yup, thanks, April...now I can't stop watching them:

Well, now that I've looked up boxers, why not move onto huskies, right?

And, another one: (okay, that was a little overwhelming)

Okay, this makes me love huskies even MORE!

Friday Night Videos

It's been a long and busy week and I was so glad to be here on a Friday!

10 Misconceptions Rundown. I knew some of these, but was surprised by a couple. Disgusting, right? The thought of swallowing even one spider?

Gonna see it:

Mindless Eating. This author, Brian Wansink, is pretty funny...

I work with Jess...this is her marriage proposal:

Friday Night Videos

I was out until 2 a.m. (the luxury of not having kids), so I didn't get any videos up... Here's what I found this week:

I'm not a professional photographer...I dabble in photography but would like to do more. This video is pretty funny...I've heard a few of the quibs a few times. "Wish I had that camera." "That is such a nice camera." "Can you photoshop this or that out?" "When am I going to get the photos?" "It'll be great for your portfolio."

Flash Fans 2012...I love the reactions of the players when the fans begin to arrive and cheer. It's a Budweiser sponsored feel-good moment:

Gabriel Iglesias: Dance, Dance, Revolution...too freakin' funny!!!

Do you photoshop? Ha ha ha ha! too funny:

President Obama with the Marshmallow Launcher...Listen to all the cameras begin to click when he starts to pump up the launcher: And this is another reason I'm still a fan of the president.

And, finally, a video that made me smile. I'm not atheist, but I really enjoyed his comments about religion in general here:

Friday Night Videos

I heard this first video on the radio earlier in the week. Pretty funny! Bill Hicks on Presidential Agendas:

Mr Diety video is a bit blasphemous; conversation with God:

Spelling Bee - Heron:

I am a huge fan of Joe McNally. He's a great photographer and educator. Here he is on a photography set:
